I had the pleasure of doing another party for my client/former bride Celia. We clicked instantly when I did her wedding a couple years ago and I’ve since done her son Jaxson’s baptismal flowers and recently got to design flowers and decor for his 1st birthday party as well! Celia chose a vintage circus theme for the party, and I helped her find a couple of great vendors and she found MANY more! The full party is featured on Kara’s Party Ideas blog here.
I can speak to the decorations at Jaxson’s Circus 1st birthday party since that is the main part I worked on. After seeing my daughter Aria’s 2nd Birthday Circus here, Celia wanted to rent out my candy buffet jars with scoops and signs, my vintage red and white striped drum (thanks to my hubby Matt this is now a part of my rental collection), some of my ticket rolls, a vintage circus tin and some of my bunting banners. I also designed 6 fresh floral centerpieces in vintage Barnum’s and Bailey Animal Cracker Tins for the guest tables, as well as a variety of banners and signs including one with Jaxson’s photos at each month (1-12) and the little fabric banner for the highchair for the smash cake photos.
I loved seeing all of these pieces come together with Celia’s other decor. She went ALL OUT for this party and Jaxson looks like he had a blast!
I was also happy to see Celia used my “friendors” Jennifer Kaye Photography for the great party coverage photography and Chris’ Creative Cookies for the awesome custom circus cookies.
Some of my favorite party highlights are below. Please contact me if you are interested in hiring Kio for your next party.

no music so sweet as their clear and ringing laughter.” ~P. T. Barnum
