I love planning events for my friend Stephanie’s beautiful daughters. Her oldest, Sophia, loves mermaids and swimming in her family’s new pool so throwing her a mermaid pool party for her 4th birthday was a no-brainer!
The under the sea vibes were all over the space both indoors and out. From the sunken treasures sweets table to the clam shell balloon backdrop to the mermaid-inspired games– there was no shortage of magical mermaid details. There were also so many activities and games and of course swimming was paramount! There were sensory/experimental areas with seaweed, shells, water and other sea things. Build-your-own sensory bottles, “Leave a message in the bottle” for Sophia and a Mermaid photobooth with inflatable clamshell were also included. And we cannot leave out the sandbox filled with buried treasures and the kiddie mermaid lounge. Stephanie just does so many awesome things for her girls and I am happy to help her!

Food and beverages tied perfectly into the theme and included dolphin bananas, seashell pasta salad, SANDwiches, seaweed dips, peanut butter and JellyFISH sandwiches, mermaid Jell-o, fish and chips, shark teeth and sea foam. Our sunken treasures sweets table had a little of everything including an amazing cake, lots of cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, salt water taffy, candies, and meringues. MK killed it on the cake and desserts. Killed it. She amazes me.
Flower arrangements which look liked whimsical coral reefs were scattered around the house and started with an arrangement hanging from the front door to welcome guests. Balloons looked like bubbles and made the spaces truly feel like we were under the sea.
Sophia loved being a mermaid at her magical 4th birthday party and had the best time with her friends and family! I cannot wait to do her next party!
